Brazil is the second most affected nation by the global pandemic coronavirus following the United States. The number of cases in the country has already exceeded 4 million.
According to the Ministry of Health, another 43,773 people have been infected in the last 24 hours in the country. The number of victims has increased to 4,041,438 people. On the same day, another 834 people died anew. With this, the number of deaths in the country has increased to 124,729 people.
Coronavirus infection started much later in Brazil than in many other countries. The first corona patient was identified there on February 26. But since then the number of victims has been increasing rapidly. Many have blamed President Jair Bolsonaro’s whimsy for the rapid rise in infections. Much like Donald Trump at the beginning of the epidemic, he also described the Corona epidemic as a “panic” created by the media and a deadly cold as a “slight cold-fever.”
According to Worldometer, the United States has the highest number of coronavirus infestations and deaths in the world so far. Then there is Brazil. Brazil is by far the most affected and dead country in Latin America.
